Restos de granadas cerámicas. II guerra mundial



KAWAGOE, Saitama Prefecture--Ceramic pieces strewn along the bank of a brook here are testament to a desperate time when artisans, craftsmen and utensil makers were mobilized to mass-produce deadly weapons for Japan’s war effort.
The pieces are from thousands of ceramic grenades manufactured during World War II amid a severe metal shortage.
